Some high praise for Emma Lemley
The Texas Bombers is one of the largest travel ball organizations in the country. They actually have their own "performance lab," a 4,800 square foot facility in located in New Braunfels, TX that includes two collegiate size softball fields along with an indoor hitting facility.
It's so good that Cat Osterman used it to prepare for the Olympics.
After the Bombers eliminated the Williamsburg Starz from the tournament, this note appeared in the Extra Innings Softball recap of the series:
"The Texas Bombers won in two games over the Williamsburg Starz 1-0, 2-0 but Coach Scott Smith said he was blown away by Starz Emma Lemley pitcher (Virginia Tech) who threw in the upper 60’s (one game had her hitting 70 mph). Said Coach Smith: 'This pitcher was one of the best I’ve seen in the last five years.' "
That's pretty high praise from a gentleman who has seen a LOT of prospects.
And with Keely returning as well as Ivy and Mackenzie, the VT coaches should be able to bring her along at her own pace.
